CCAS is a no-kill shelter, meaning that animals will not be euthanized simply because of a lack of space. Euthanasia is reserved as a last resort, and is performed only when our veterinary care providers deem it necessary to prevent suffering. About St. George Animal Shelter. We are a group of volunteers committed to giving every homeless companion animal a loving forever home. Founded in November, 2018 by Dr. Melanie Eagen, a St. George veterinarian, after countless number of stray and abandoned animals were brought into her clinic by the well meaning public.
